| One of my favourite field trips was to Belcarra Beach. We had a wonderful walk through the forest, learning about the trees, and then we went to the beach to learn about the animals there. |
| A big Canada goose came to say hello to me. We looked under the rocks and found HUNDREDS of little shore crabs and other creatures. Then we went along the dock to see the fish, barnacles, starfish, and sea cucumbers. (I got a little tired after a while, so I hitched a ride in one of the children's knapsacks.) |

| At the end of my visit, Mrs. B. set up an "Aussie Corner" in the classroom, with lots of books and other things from Australia. They gave me a good-bye party too! We watched videos about Australia and the class coloured in pictures while they learned some new facts. It was really sad to leave my new friends in Canada... but I was looking forward to going HOME to see my own class! |
