Geometric Concepts
Here's where we can start to learn about TRANSFORMATIONS:
(Transformations are rigid movements that do not change the shape or size of an object.)
* REFLECTIONS = flips
*ROTATIONS = turns
* TRANSLATIONS = slides
Some important terminology is:
*symmetrical and non-symmetrical shapes
* orientation
*vertical and horizontal
* clockwise and counter-clockwise
*line symmetry = mirror symmetry
* rotational symmetry = point symmetry
